Govind
Who sits near the Barakhamba Metro Station, every day. He has been earning his living there as a cobbler for almost 6 years now.
When we asked him, what’s the most important thing in his life? He simply replied with "जेब में पैसा और साफ़ पानी"
We heard him out, how when a few years ago, he sat there, with no access to clean water. He had to cross the busy streets only to fetch water contaminated with flies and dirt. Two years back, Pi-Lo installed its smart water dispenser unit, which provides clean water at a nominal cost, affordable for all.
Guess what? Govind is a regular Pi-Lo consumer, who feels relieved now and according to him, his health has improved since then. For many people like Govind, less time used in fetching potable water means more time to work. We think it's beautifully emancipating.
It's not the number that matters to us, just the fact if our years of hard work can even bring the change and empower the life of one single person.
